Improved Replacement for Manganese Greensand
Greensand Plus™ is an improved version of manganese greensand. It is composed of a manganese dioxide coating applied to silica sand. It is effective greater pressure differentials than traditional manganese greensand thereby allowing for longer service cycles and intervals between backwashes.
Like conventional manganese greensand, Greensand Plus requires periodic or continuous regeneration with potassium permanganate or other strong oxidizer such as chlorine.
